EXAMINATION
There are two types of exams conducted at Jyothi Convent School-Namely-
1. Formative Assessment-
2. Summative Assessment-
Formative Assessment- The Formative Assessments are periodical assessments which are conducted during the year, three times - namely 
a. In the month of July
b. In the Month of September
c. In the Month of December
The formative assessments  are conducted with a purpose to assess the students their progress and their failures and weaknesses. After every formative assessment the answer sheets are shared with the parents so that they can check the papers and evaluate the strength and weaknesses of their stakeholders. 

2. Summative Assessment-
The summative assessments are conducted at the end of term or year to assess their yearly cognitive, social and spiritual development one basis of which students are promoted.

3. Coaching Classes- This is a special care given to the class- X students which helps them to prepare every minute details of their syllabi  before the CBSE board examination. In the process of coaching the teachers make students acquaint with various types of questions and give the to solve and practice. 

3. Pre- Board Examination- The School also conducts a pre- board examination for class- X students,  so that the fear complex for board examination may disappear from their mind. The purpose of this examination is to create a sense of confidence in the mind of students. 
Promotion- Every student who is studying at Jyothi Convent School need to secure 75% of attendance to qualify for the annual examination. The examinations are not conducted to create fear in the students but rather it is a means for the students and parents to assess their stakeholders. For the final assessment the marks secured in all the exams are calculated cumulatively and given grades. The scales of gradations are as follows:-
Grade- E       Percentage- 30- 35%
Grade- D       Percentage- 35- 40%
Grade- C2     Percentage- 40- 50%
Grade- C1     Percentage- 51- 60%
Grade- B2   Percentage- 11-70%
Grade- B1   Percentage- 71- 80%
Grade-A2     Percentage- 81-90%
    Grade-A1     Percentage- 90 -100%
